ALDI Cocoon Create Model Maker 3D Printer Fail Refund Buy Bitcoin! ─ leokimvideo

Here is my review of the Cocoon Create Model Maker 3D printer that's really a WANHAO I3 MINI 3D PRINTER in rebadge disguise. This 3D printer was an ALDI mid week special and cost $299. I would be better off putting that money into Bitcoin as I did with the previous $499 ALDI printer I missed out on 6 months back. This small Cocoon Create 3D printer is very easy to set up and use. It has a basic menu and comes with a SD cards thats pre=loaded with G code files for printing. This printer does not have a heated bed and this seems to make 2D prints a little tricky. Mind you experts in 3D printers may know how to not have the prints detach from the print bed mid print. It looked like a quality build with excellent instructions and help via the Winplus Australasia YouTube channel but one component on this printer was broken and that made mounting the SD card to read the print files near impossible. I also highly suspect this printer was a re-box going by the re-taping and already cut cardboard on the box that can be seen in store when it was purchased. I did print one Cute Dragon and 2 Rockets. Because of the problems I encountered it became a store return that ALDI are famous for. So my hunt for a good 3D printer continues maybe I need to wait a few more generations before they become really good for domestic use. I would have loved to grab some prints from https://www.thingiverse.com/ but that ended up being only a dream.

3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing (AM), refers to processes used to create a three-dimensional object in which layers of material are formed under computer control to create an object. Objects can be of almost any shape or geometry and typically are produced using digital model data from a 3D model or another electronic data source such as an Additive Manufacturing File (AMF) file. Stereolithography (STL) is one of the most common file types that 3D printers can read. Thus, unlike material removed from a stock in the conventional machining process, 3D printing or AM builds a three-dimensional object from computer-aided design (CAD) model or AMF file by successively adding material layer by layer.
