Lets look at the Thomas & Friends toy area in a very typical major retailer in the final weeks till Christmas. Trying to find Thomas Adventures, Thomas Trackmaster, Thomas Wood, Thomas MINIS can be very difficult. If the amazing stock does appear it's quickly purchased and there is no stock to replace it. To me this is absolute proof that Thomas & Friends toys are very popular and the supply chain can't keep up with demand. There is the few Thomas playsets and Thomas characters that remain peg sitters or shelf warmers. I am so used to seeing empty shelves and empty pegs in the Thomas & Friends toy area. Luckily for me a shopper in the store explained there was a small temporary Thomas area in the children's clothes area. And even this was heavily depleted but there was some Thomas gold there and I found the Turbo Thomas, Turbo Diesel and Turbo Percy. But I nearly totally missed out. Trying to buy Thomas toys to do toy reviews on YouTube can be an emotional rollercoaster at the best of times. I'm still holding out on the Thomas Wooden Railway sets to see if the price is reduced even more.
