During Winter it's often difficult to find spiders in the garden. But once you look carefully there are spiders everywhere. Our old pumpkin patch is a perfect zone for small spiders to hide out during Winter. I clear the zone with a flamethrower. It's also great weed control as well. What was totally amazing during the Australian Winter of 2019 was a week of very warm weather in late July that even had a large female Redback spider setting up it's nest. Is this climate change or just seasonal earth wobble?
I set up an Arlo security camera to understand whats going on, this becomes a stand alone video. I finally get around to making my Redback spider trap / lures and show two different versions. Both have a easy way to inspect if you have lured a spider. Within a few months a Redback spider set up home in one of the traps. Apart from luring Redback spiders they can be used as drum kits.
Video posted as educational, documentary, and scientific and forms part of my Insect / spider study series of videos.
