Finally heavy rains allow me to do my Redback Spider control method with a flamethrower. Because of the total fire bans and drought conditions I was only able to do the monkey tool spider removal back in early November 2019. Because this Summer I missed some important burns it's allowed a very sneaky Redback spider to have a well established spider nest with multiple spider egg sacs. Investigating the egg sacs will establish a time frame of the spider's activity. If I was able to use the flamethrower back in November this spider nest would never had an opportunity to be established. Redback spiders are deadly pest's in the garden, they breed up in huge numbers and can be very difficult to control. In one spider season one Female Redback spider can easily generate 5 spider egg sacs and over 1000 Redback spiderlings. Understanding their web structure and prefered habitats is key to knowing where to find these nocturnal spiders. I like the flamethrower method because it is chemical free, fast and takes out spiders, spider nests and spiderlings. And best of all the spiders can then be fed to the ant's in the garden. So it's environmentally friendly.
