What I thought was a lightning bolt hitting our power pole ended up being a totally different suburbian disaster. Here is what stopped me uploading to YouTube in late 2019. From this night of crazy events I learned many things. You can get a power pole replaced and power back on within hours from a major car crash, but to get your internet back via NBN Co takes many weeks. Who knows that may have been a record fast fix. Anyway a friend (who is a greyhacker) told me about these amazing little Telstra mini modems that run off the mobile phone cellular G network. They are amazing and give great upload and download data speeds without ripping you off. As I have learned Data is GOLD. But I didn't know on the night of this accident a second unfortunate event was to smash the suburb where I live the next day.
